Janice WinterJanice Winter is Manager of the Axess Programme and lead researcher for Axess Project 'Independent Journalism in Post-Independence States'. She has an M.Phil. in Development Studies from the University of Oxford, receiving a distinction for research on victims of political violence in Zimbabwe. A journalist by profession, she has held positions as Deputy Editor of Elle Decoration; Editorial Co-ordinator for South: South African Style in Decor; and has assisted on television feature productions of the South African Broadcasting Corporation. She has also worked in various capacities on issues of social justice in Southern Africa. |
